My New Addiction

Yesterday, a group of us went to a gaming and gaming history exhibition in Tilburg. It was marvellous to see (and play) all the games I wasted my time (and 20 ZA-cent coins) on as an arcade-frequenting dude. They even had an old Sinclair Spectrum 48K on exhibit… this is the computer I grew up on.

In anycase, amongst one of the 120 games that you could also play, Paul introduced me to Bust-A-Move 4 on the Sega Dreamcast.

All would have been fine, were it not for the fact that this game is also available in MAME where it’s known as Puzzle Bobble 4. If you can help it, please avoid this game. It’s scarily addictive. Really.

  1. Swan hauled out his old TV games console the other day. The joystick was broken so he hotwired it to his PC parallel port and we spent an evening figuring out the 8bit codes to control it with while playing Lock-n-Chase…badly.

He eventually gave up and borrowed his uncles working set. Soon he is going to borrow the Intellivoice addon thingy so the game can talk to us and wow us in awe and majesty.
