Windows XP works wonderfully on modern PC laptops! Suspend to ram, hibernate, it all Just Works(tm).

Seriously though: if you _like_ endlessly futzing around with your configuration and you have far too much time, it's a nice hobby trying to get Loonix to work perfectly on a modern laptop. However, if you want to get things done, just keep Windows or Mac OS on there, whichever comes with the laptop.

Yes, I know perfectly well what I'm talking about, having spent weeks debugging Radeon resume issues under linux and having designed the Radeon suspend/resume support in the current XFree86 and X.org releases. :)

I tested with SpeedFan 4.29, and that only gave the legacy diode temperature via ACPI.

AFAIK, MBM is not being actively developed anymore, so I doubt that it supports these new sensors. I haven't tested it yet though.

Would be interested to know if SpeedFan (http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php) or Motherboard Monitor (http://mbm.livewiredev.com/) make the grade on this...?
